We're Supporting NICU

Here at Rainbow Zebra we're proud of our history of helping out worthy causes. We've cycled over 250 miles in support of Blood Bikes and the the Diving Diseases Research Centre (DDRC) in Plymouth and we've also worked with Camps International in helping them to build sports facilities for schools in Africa to name a few.

The most recent initiative we've turned our attention to is to support the work of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) here in Bristol, and more specifically the volunteers who help to transport donor breast milk from homes to premature babies at the hospital.

We've donated towards getting the emergency markings placed onto the BMW i3 electric powered ambulance that you can see below and also sent a few chairs to the Bristol Royal Infirmary (although we used a traditional van to get them there!) to be used in the various waiting rooms.

We're hoping to take part in another cycling challenge to raise both awareness and funds to support the NICU volunteers in early 2015 so keep checking back for updates and progress reports!

Not sure how many waiting room chairs can fit in there!
