Our Pick of this Year’s Best Halloween Costumes

Our Pick of this Year’s Best Halloween Costumes

We’re not sure about you, but we love Autumn. The reds and oranges of fallen leaves, cosy nights in, X Factor back on the television, and of course Halloween.

And what could be better than it being socially acceptable to dress up as absolutely anything you desire, head out, and have a good night?

We therefore thought we’d give you a helping hand preparing your outfit with our top pick of this year’s biggest costume trends and creative ideas. So if you’re stuck for ideas keep reading for our Ultimate Guide to Halloween.

Channel Popular Culture

Whether drawing inspiration from popular culture, which is often the case, keeping it classic, or getting a little creative choosing your Halloween Costume can cause a few headaches. But we’re here to help; just take a look at what we suspect will be this October’s most popular outfits:

Harley Quinn

Polyvore has revealed data on the top searches for Halloween costumes this Autumn and it seems that the public will be turning to Suicide Squad for inspiration as the top spot goes to Harley Quinn.

Incorporating something a little daring (fishnets and hot pants) with a sporty bomber you can wear long after Halloween is over, and the fun of rainbow coloured hair dye, it’s a great choice.

You can find the full costume here

Pokémon Go

In spite of its ups and downs and clear controversy there is no denying the popularity of Pokémon Go in 2016. And we can’t see this trend slowing down just yet.

So whether you choose to dress up as Pikachu himself or channel a Pokemon trainer, we’re sure you’ll look “the very best; like no one ever was”.

Stranger Things

If you haven’t heard of Stanger Things then you’ve most likely been living under a rock and need to login to your Netflix account immediately.

Undoubtedly Netflix’s most talked about original series this year the story takes place in a small Indiana town in 1983 when tales of science fiction captivated its audience. Twelve year old Will Byers goes missing one evening resulting in his mother Joyce launching a terrifying investigation which unravels a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government agencies.

Thanks to its setting the costumes aren’t too elaborate and can be easily achieved on a small budget. Just take a look at this fantastic Joyce Byers costumer.

Keep It Classic

Strapped for time? Don’t complicate your efforts and keep it traditional.

Wicked Witch

It doesn’t get any more classic than this. And it equally doesn’t get any cheaper.

Simply grab a black dress and pick up a pointy hat and broomstick from your local supermarket. If you’re really committed to the spirit of Halloween then get your hands on some Green Body Paint and channel the Wicked Witch of the West.

Thanks to some of Hollywood’s biggest block busters in recent years Zombie popularity has grown again. So why not channel the undead and prepare yourself for the Zombie Apocalypse which can supposedly hit anywhere at any time?

Just like the witch, this classic costume couldn’t be easier to create. Grab yourself some old clothing add a few rips and tears, drizzle on some special effects blood, mess your hair up, and darken the area around your eyes with some make up. If you’re brave enough to stick your fingers in your eyes finish off the ultimate costume with a pair of Zombie Contact Lenses.

Thanks to the ridiculous “killer clown” phase the classic clown costume has taken a slightly daunting turn in recent weeks. However, it’s still a fantastic choice for this Halloween.

So you can either follow in the footsteps of a simply terrifying and slightly haunting nature of those across the papers or help us all out by channelling the clown that we’re used to gracing kids birthday parties. You can pick up a standard Clown Outfit from just about anywhere but the difference will be in your make and of course accessories – water squirting flowers or blood stained axe!

Don’t Be Disappointed…

Costumes and accessories can sell out fast so avoid disappointment and the sheer embarrassment of turning up in a sub-par costume.

Here at Rainbow Zebra we’re still debating what we’ll be dressing as, but one things for sure is that we won’t be leaving it until the last minute.

Already know what you’re going as? We’d love to hear from you. Equally send us your creative costumes this Halloween via our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Avoid Office Horrors

Do you spend your days sat in office chairs better suited for the likes of abandoned buildings and haunted houses? Well, we’re here to say that you shouldn’t have to put up with scary office chairs that give you the shivers they’re so old, wonky, and dirty.

At Rainbow Zebra we’re committed to ensuring you’re comfortable at work; think of us as the Ghostbusters of the office world. So, make sure you give our team a call on 0800 092 1985 or view our diverse range of office seating.
